I’m super excited to get to introduce you to a brand new company, Cromwell Watch! I met the owner, Logan, many moons ago while we were both hanging out at the river with our mutual friends the Easters (by way of Patrice I think, side note). When I saw on Instagram that he was starting Cromwell Watch, I made sure to keep an eye on the project. I’ve always been a bit of a watch nut, more in the way of fashion than function, but never committed in the way of spending money or looking for something to keep for years. Over the last year or so, I’ve been considering making a greater commitment to a classic watch… but still weary of a high price tag. I mean come on, some of those bad boys are just ridiculously expensive… It’s not like I’m going to be buying a Rolex any time soon… but gifts are always welcome : ) just kidding.
Once Cromwell Watch was officially launched, I checked out the site and, well, I couldn’t decide… because I wanted ALL of them! I kept sending pictures to Sam and asking which ones she liked… which didn’t help because it just made me rationalize ADDING more to my cart. I was originally looking for rose gold coloring, but figured since I have a ton of silver to match, a silver case would make more sense. And then the choices of bands, and faces, oh my. After that, I made the mistake of looking at the Instagram feed of others wearing the watches, and that rose gold called again. That was it, I was screwed. I ‘rationalized’ three to purchase… but trust me I didn’t want to stop there. : ( Hell, I even want the mens ones for more of a ‘chunky’ look.
Anyway, on to the watches and such.
I’m a sucker for details, after all, it’s half of my (real) job to do these ‘special touches’, so it made me (literally) smile when I saw the sticker on the outside of the shipping box that read, “Cromwell Watch sent me to make you happy.” Good start!
Inside the box, each of my three watches was packed in their own zippered leather box, and sitting comfortably wrapped around a little velvet pillow. The details continued with the plastic tags attached to the watches, which almost looked like they were mini glowing neon signs. They are so cool I dreaded cutting it off. Yeah, I’m weird. Even the warranty pouch has the logo stamped into it. I’m not sure how those uber shih shih watches are packaged, but I definitely felt like Cromwell Watch took special care in the packaging (especially compared to my former watch purchases). I was sold at that point!
The watches themselves are just gorgeous in their color combinations and clean lines. They are definitely a classic that will never go out of style. Bonus points that you can easily swap out the watch bands. I threw on one of the watches immediately, and have been loving the experience. They are light on the wrist, and the leather is super soft. I can barely even tell it is there, which for someone with sensitive skin is a big selling point. Usually watches rub or irritate… and these ones do not!
I can’t wait to wear all of the colors, and figure out how to accessorize them on occasion. : ) Here is to exciting new toys, and avoiding the urge to buy the rest of the collection… at least for now. But since all of their current styles are between $135-190, at least I wouldn’t end up breaking the bank if I did!
